A Message to My Muslim Brothers and Sisters Around the Globe

بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَٰنِ الرَّحِيمِ

[ALLAH, in WHOSE Name I begin, the MOST GRACIOUS, the MOST MERCIFUL]

I am a servant of ALLAH [S.W.T], calling you my brothers and sisters no matter wherever you live; in the Name of your LORD step forward and form the line shoulder to shoulder.

This message is for my those Muslim brothers and sisters around the Globe who has the willingness but did not yet started to spread the Words of Islam and the Good news of Islam to those who has not been yet informed.

Be determined to start inviting our non-Muslim brothers and sisters to the Truth. In reality most of them have not even been informed yet. So it is became responsibility for us to at least inform them about it. Whether they will accept it or deny it, it’s up to them. ALLAH [S.W.T] gave all the mankind to have the privilege of freewill; so no one has the right to take it away from one another. For what purpose that person will use their freewill they have the right to decide it by themselves. As the reward/punishment of a person will only be shared with by that person own self, so the decision is also one-owns.

ALLAH [S.W.T] address us the follower of Last Prophet [S.A.W.S] as the Best of the followers, for which we are so proud of. Nevertheless, we also should not forget all the sacrifice of Islam, all the hurdle that all the servants of ALLAH [S.W.T] had faced starting from the first human and Prophet Adam to till the Last Prophet Muhammad [Peace Be Upon Them All]. Moreover, we should not forget to admit all the Blessings and the Favors of ALLAH [S.W.T] which had been bestowed upon us until our last breathe and Hereafter. That is what makes our responsibility much greater, much more passionate, and dearer for us. Hope you did not forget-

“But whoever desires the Hereafter and exerts the effort due to it while he is a believer – it is those whose effort is ever appreciated [by ALLAH].

To each [category] WE extend – to these and to those – from the gift of your LORD. And never has the gift of your LORD been restricted.

Look how WE have favored [in provision] some of them over others. But the Hereafter is greater in degrees [of difference] and greater in distinction.”

- [17:19-21] 17.Surat Al-’Isrā’ (The Night Journey) – سورة الإسراء

Now to those who do not know how to start, read carefully.  You can start from little talk by letting them know the Message which we Muslims know and believe-

“I bear witness that none is worthy of worship but ALLAH [S.W.T], the One alone, without partner, and I bear witness that Muhammad [S.A.W.S] is HIS servant and Messenger.”

Let them know it, and then you can explain. You recite by yourself Translation of HOLY QUR’AN with meaning and trust me Insha’ALLAH you will know what you have to do.

You can inform them by chatting with them or by e-mail or by blog. But make sure one thing when you communicate with them please try to do it politely. We always have to prove to ourselves that we are modest in every possible way; starting from the manner to every righteous thing. And if they starting to break the level of modesty then ask them to be modest too as you are; Insha’ALLAH they will understand.

Now, I do not know what aspect our beloved Prophet [S.A.W.S] in his last sermon said- “Hurt no-one, so that no-one may hurt you. Remember that you will indeed meet your LORD, and that HE will indeed reckon your deeds.” But I like this statement very much and I try to keep it in my mind always.

When you are inviting someone, do not force them to accept your invitations. Invite them like you really mean it. For example- if you are inviting someone for dinner, whether that person will accept or deny your invitations it’s up to that person, you just cannot force that person. So, the invitation you are going to give them is much greater than this example and you are bound to show more modesty than usual. Decency is must.

If they do not accept; then don’t be disappointed your job is to just inform them about the Truth. If anyone accept its better for that persons own sake and if anyone reject than that deed is also for that persons. You are just doing the assignment which ALLAH [S.W.T] appointed on every Muslims who are not afraid of anyone except their CREATOR. So complete your assignment sincerely.

Well, I would like to end this message here, by praying- ‘May ALLAH [S.W.T] be with us and Help us to do righteous deeds and Bless us to hold the path of Islam till our last breathe and Hereafter.’

Selected Hadith as Glad Tidings and Instructions for You

Sahih Bukhari: Volume 1, Book 2: Belief, Number 47:

Narrated Abu Huraira (R.A):

One day while the Prophet [S.A.W.S] was sitting in the company of some people, (The Angel) Gabriel (P.B.U.H) came and asked, “What is faith?” ALLAH [S.W.T]’s Apostle [S.A.W.S] replied, ‘Faith is to believe in ALLAH [S.W.T], HIS Angels (P.B.U.T), (the) meeting with HIM, HIS Apostles (P.B.U.T), and to believe in Resurrection.” Then he further asked, “What is Islam?” ALLAH [S.W.T]’s Apostle [S.A.W.S] replied, “To worship ALLAH [S.W.T] Alone and none else, to offer prayers perfectly to pay the compulsory charity (Zakat) and to observe fasts during the month of Ramadan.” Then he further asked, “What is Ihsan (perfection)?” ALLAH [S.W.T]’s Apostle [S.A.W.S] replied, “To worship ALLAH [S.W.T] as if you see HIM, and if you cannot achieve this state of devotion then you must consider that HE is looking at you.” Then he further asked, “When will the Hour be established?” ALLAH [S.W.T]’s Apostle [S.A.W.S] replied, “The answerer has no better knowledge than the questioner. But I will inform you about its portents.

1. When a slave (lady) gives birth to her master.

2. When the shepherds of black camels start boasting and competing with others in the construction of higher buildings. And the Hour is one of five things which nobody knows except ALLAH [S.W.T]. The Prophet [S.A.W.S] then recited: “Verily, with ALLAH [S.W.T] (Alone) is the knowledge of the Hour–.” (31. 34) Then that man (Gabriel (P.B.U.H)) left and the Prophet [S.A.W.S] asked his companions to call him back, but they could not see him. Then the Prophet [S.A.W.S] said, “That was Gabriel (P.B.U.H) who came to teach the people their religion.” Abu ‘Abdullah (R.A) said: He (the Prophet [S.A.W.S]) considered all that as a part of faith.

Sahih Bukhari: Volume 1, Book 2: Belief, Number 7:

Narrated Ibn ‘Umar (R.A):

ALLAH [S.W.T]’s Apostle [S.A.W.S] said: Islam is based on (the following) five (principles):

1. To testify that none has the right to be worshipped but ALLAH [S.W.T] and Muhammad [S.A.W.S] is ALLAH [S.W.T]’s Apostle.

2. To offer the (compulsory congregational) prayers dutifully and perfectly.

3. To pay Zakat (i.e. obligatory charity).

4. To perform Hajj. (i.e. Pilgrimage toMecca)

5. To observe fast during the month of Ramadan.

Sahih Bukhari: Volume 1, Book 1: Revelation, Number 6:

 Narrated ‘Abdullah bin ‘Abbas (R.A):

Abu Sufyan bin Harb informed me that Heraclius had sent a messenger to him while he had been accompanying a caravan from Quraish. They were merchants doing business in Sham (Syria,Palestine,LebanonandJordan), at the time when ALLAH [S.W.T]’s Apostle [S.A.W.S] had truce with Abu Sufyan and Quraish infidels. So Abu Sufyan and his companions went to Heraclius at Ilya (Jerusalem). Heraclius called them in the court and he had all the senior Roman dignitaries around him. He called for his translator who, translating Heraclius’s question said to them, “Who amongst you is closely related to that man who claims to be a Prophet?” Abu Sufyan replied, “I am the nearest relative to him (amongst the group).” Heraclius said, “Bring him (Abu Sufyan) close to me and make his companions stand behind him.” Abu Sufyan added, Heraclius told his translator to tell my companions that he wanted to put some questions to me regarding that man (The Prophet [S.A.W.S]) and that if I told a lie they (my companions) should contradict me.” Abu Sufyan added, “By ALLAH [S.W.T]! Had I not been afraid of my companions labeling me a liar, I would not have spoken the truth about the Prophet [S.A.W.S]. The first question he asked me about him was: ‘What is his family status amongst you?’ I replied, ‘He belongs to a good (noble) family amongst us. ‘Heraclius further asked, ‘Has anybody amongst you ever claimed the same (i.e. to be a Prophet) before him?’ I replied, ‘No.’ He said, ‘Was anybody amongst his ancestors a king?’ I replied, ‘No. ‘Heraclius asked, ‘Do the nobles or the poor follow him?’ I replied, ‘It is the poor who follow him.’ He said, ‘Are his followers increasing decreasing (day by day)?’ I replied, ‘They are increasing.’ He then asked, ‘Does anybody amongst those who embrace his religion become displeased and renounce the religion afterwards?’ I replied, ‘No. ‘Heraclius said, ‘Have you ever accused him of telling lies before his claim (to be a Prophet)?’ I replied, ‘No. ‘Heraclius said, ‘Does he break his promises?’ I replied, ‘No. We are at truce with him but we do not know what he will do in it.’ I could not find opportunity to say anything against him except that. ‘Heraclius asked, ‘Have you ever had a war with him?’ I replied, ‘Yes.’ Then he said, ‘What was the outcome of the battles?’ I replied, ‘Sometimes he was victorious and sometimes we. ‘Heraclius said, ‘What does he order you to do?’ I said, ‘He tells us to worship ALLAH [S.W.T] and ALLAH [S.W.T] alone and not to worship anything along with HIM, and to renounce all that our ancestors had said. He orders us to pray, to speak the truth, to be chaste and to keep good relations with our Kith and kin. ‘Heraclius asked the translator to convey to me the following, I asked you about his family and your reply was that he belonged to a very noble family. In fact all the Apostles (P.B.U.T) come from noble families amongst their respective peoples. I questioned you whether anybody else amongst you claimed such a thing, your reply was in the negative. If the answer had been in the affirmative, I would have thought that this man was following the previous man’s statement. Then I asked you whether anyone of his ancestors was a king. Your reply was in the negative, and if it had been in the affirmative, I would have thought that this man wanted to take back his ancestral kingdom. I further asked whether he was ever accused of telling lies before he said what he said, and your reply was in the negative. So I wondered how a person who does not tell a lie about others could ever tell a lie about ALLAH [S.W.T]. I, then asked you whether the rich people followed him or the poor. You replied that it was the poor who followed him. And in fact all the Apostle (P.B.U.T) have been followed by this very class of people. Then I asked you whether his followers were increasing or decreasing. You replied that they were increasing, and in fact this is the way of true faith, till it is complete in all respects. I further asked you whether there was anybody, who, after embracing his Religion, became displeased and discarded his Religion. Your reply was in the negative, and in fact this is (the sign of) true faith, when its delight enters the hearts and mixes with them completely. I asked you whether he had ever betrayed. You replied in the negative and likewise the Apostles (P.B.U.T) never betray. Then I asked you what he ordered you to do. You replied that he ordered you to worship ALLAH [S.W.T] and ALLAH [S.W.T] alone and not to worship any thing along with HIM and forbade you to worship idols and ordered you to pray, to speak the truth and to be chaste. If what you have said is true, he will very soon occupy this place underneath my feet and I knew it (from the scriptures) that he was going to appear but I did not know that he would be from you, and if I could reach him definitely, I would go immediately to meet him and if I were with him, I would certainly wash his feet. ‘Heraclius then asked for the letter addressed by ALLAH [S.W.T]’s Apostle [S.A.W.S] which was delivered by Dihya to the Governor of Busra, who forwarded it to Heraclius to read. The contents of the letter were as follows: “In the name of ALLAH [S.W.T] the Beneficent, the Merciful (This letter is) from Muhammad the slave of ALLAH [S.W.T] and HIS Apostle to Heraclius the ruler of Byzantine. Peace be upon him, who follows the right path. Furthermore, I invite you to Islam, and if you become a Muslim you will be safe, and ALLAH [S.W.T] will double your reward, and if you reject this invitation of Islam you will be committing a sin by misguiding your Arisiyin (peasants). (And I recite to you ALLAH [S.W.T]‘s Statement:) ‘O people of the scripture! Come to a word common to you and us that we worship none but ALLAH [S.W.T] and that we associate nothing in worship with HIM, and that none of us shall take others as Lords beside ALLAH [S.W.T]. Then, if they turn away, say: Bear witness that we are Muslims (those who have surrendered to ALLAH [S.W.T]).’ (3:64). Abu Sufyan then added, “When Heraclius had finished his speech and had read the letter, there was a great hue and cry in theRoyal Court. So we were turned out of the court. I told my companions that the question of Ibn-Abi-Kabsha) (the Prophet Muhammad [S.A.W.S]) has become so prominent that even the King of Bani Al-Asfar (Byzantine) is afraid of him. Then I started to become sure that he (the Prophet [S.A.W.S]) would be the conqueror in the near future till I embraced Islam (i.e. ALLAH [S.W.T] guided me to it).” The sub narrator adds, “Ibn An-Natur was the Governor of llya’ (Jerusalem) and Heraclius was the head of the Christians of Sham. Ibn An-Natur narrates that once while Heraclius was visiting ilya’ (Jerusalem), he got up in the morning with a sad mood. Some of his priests asked him why he was in that mood? Heraclius was a foreteller and an astrologer. He replied, ‘At night when I looked at the stars, I saw that the leader of those who practice circumcision had appeared (become the conqueror). Who are they who practice circumcision?’ The people replied, ‘Except the Jews nobody practices circumcision, so you should not be afraid of them (Jews). ‘Just Issue orders to kill every Jew present in the country.’ While they were discussing it, a messenger sent by the king of Ghassan to convey the news of ALLAH [S.W.T]’s Apostle [S.A.W.S] to Heraclius was brought in. Having heard the news, he (Heraclius) ordered the people to go and see whether the messenger of Ghassan was circumcised. The people, after seeing him, told Heraclius that he was circumcised. Heraclius then asked him about the Arabs. The messenger replied, ‘Arabs also practice circumcision.’ (After hearing that) Heraclius remarked that sovereignty of the ‘Arabs had appeared. Heraclius then wrote a letter to his friend inRomewho was as good as Heraclius in knowledge. Heraclius then left forHoms. (a town in Syrian and stayed there till he received the reply of his letter from his friend who agreed with him in his opinion about the emergence of the Prophet [S.A.W.S] and the fact that he was a Prophet. On that Heraclius invited all the heads of the Byzantines to assemble in his palace atHoms. When they assembled, he ordered that all the doors of his palace be closed. Then he came out and said, ‘O Byzantines! If success is your desire and if you seek right guidance and want your empire to remain then give a pledge of allegiance to this Prophet (i.e. embrace Islam).’ (On hearing the views of Heraclius) the people ran towards the gates of the palace like onagers but found the doors closed. Heraclius realized their hatred towards Islam and when he lost the hope of their embracing Islam, he ordered that they should be brought back in audience. (When they returned) he said, ‘What already said was just to test the strength of your conviction and I have seen it.’ The people prostrated before him and became pleased with him, and this was the end of Heraclius’s story (in connection with his faith).

The bedouin then said, “By HIM WHO has honored you, I will neither perform any Nawafil nor will I decrease what ALLAH [S.W.T] has enjoined on me. What do you think about some good deeds I used to practice in the pre-lslamic period of ignorance regarding them as deeds of righteousness?’ ALLAH [S.W.T]‘s Apostle [S.A.W.S] said, “You have embraced Islam along with all those good deeds you did.”

What has been affirmed?” He said, “I have said what the Prophet [S.A.W.S] said. He said, ‘ALLAH [S.W.T] will admit into paradise any Muslim whose good character is attested by four persons.’ We asked the Prophet [S.A.W.S], ‘If there were three witnesses only?’ He said, ‘Even three.’ We asked, ‘If there were two only?’ He said, ‘Even two.’ But we did not ask him about one witness.”

What are they? “He said, “To join others in worship along with ALLAH [S.W.T], to practice sorcery, to kill the life which ALLAH [S.W.T] has forbidden except for a just cause, (according to Islamic law), to eat up Riba (usury), to eat up an orphan’s wealth, to give back to the enemy and fleeing from the battlefield at the time of fighting, and to accuse chaste women, who never even think of anything touching chastity and are good believers.

Sahih Bukhari: Volume 4, Book 52: Fighting for the Cause of ALLAH [S.W.T], Number 63:

 Narrated Al-Bara (R.A):

A man whose face was covered with an iron mask (i.e. clad in armor) came to the Prophet [S.A.W.S] and said, “O ALLAH [S.W.T]’s Apostle [S.A.W.S]! Shall I fight or embrace Islam first? “The Prophet [S.A.W.S] said, “Embrace Islam first and then fight.” So he embraced Islam, and was martyred. ALLAH [S.W.T]’s Apostle [S.A.W.S] said, A Little work, but a great reward. “(He did very little (after embracing Islam), but he will be rewarded in abundance).”

 Narrated Abu Musa (R.A):

A man came to the Prophet [S.A.W.S] and asked, “A man fights for war booty; another fights for fame and a third fights for showing off; which of them fights in ALLAH [S.W.T]’s Cause?” The Prophet [S.A.W.S] said, “He who fights that ALLAH [S.W.T]’s Word (i.e. Islam) should be superior, fights in ALLAH [S.W.T]’s Cause.”

Sahih Bukhari: Volume 4, Book 52: Fighting for the Cause of ALLAH [S.W.T], Number 192:

 Narrated Sahl bin Sad (R.A):

That he heard the Prophet [S.A.W.S] on the day (of the battle) of Khaibar saying, “I will give the flag to a person at whose hands ALLAH [S.W.T] will grant victory.” So, the companions of the Prophet [S.A.W.S] got up, wishing eagerly to see to whom the flag will be given, and everyone of them wished to be given the flag. But the Prophet [S.A.W.S] asked for ‘Ali (R.A). Someone informed him that he was suffering from eye-trouble. So, he ordered them to bring ‘Ali (R.A) in front of him. Then the Prophet [S.A.W.S] spat in his eyes and his eyes were cured immediately as if he had never any eye-trouble. ‘Ali (R.A) said, “We will fight with them (i.e. infidels) till they become like us (i.e. Muslims).” The Prophet [S.A.W.S] said, “Be patient, till you face them and invite them to Islam and inform them of what ALLAH [S.W.T] has enjoined upon them. By ALLAH [S.W.T]! If a single person embraces Islam at your hands (i.e. through you), that will be better for you than the red camels.”

Sahih Bukhari: Volume 4, Book 56: Virtues and Merits of the Prophet [S.A.W.S] and his Companions (R.A), Number 787:

 Narrated Abu Huraira (R.A):

The Prophet [S.A.W.S] said, “The Hour will not be established till you fight a nation wearing hairy shoes, and till you fight the Turks, who will have small eyes, red faces and flat noses; and their faces will be like flat shields. And you will find that the best people are those who hate responsibility of ruling most of all till they are chosen to be the rulers. And the people are of different natures: The best in the pre-lslamic period are the best in Islam. A time will come when any of you will love to see me rather than to have his family and property doubled.”

Sahih Bukhari: Volume 6, Book 60: Prophetic Commentary on the Qur’an (Tafseer of the Prophet [S.A.W.S], Number 7:

 Narrated Anas (R.A):

’Abdullah bin Salam (R.A) heard the news of the arrival of ALLAH [S.W.T]’s Apostle [S.A.W.S] (atMedina) while he was on a farm collecting its fruits. So he came to the Prophet [S.A.W.S] and said, “I will ask you about three things which nobody knows unless he be a Prophet. Firstly, what is the first portent of the Hour? What is the first meal of the people of Paradise? And what makes a baby look like its father or mother?’. The Prophet [S.A.W.S] said, “Just now Gabriel (P.B.U.H) has informed me about that.” ‘Abdullah (R.A) said, “Gabriel (P.B.U.H.)?” The Prophet [S.A.W.S] said, “Yes.” ‘Abdullah (R.A) said, “He, among the Angels (P.B.U.T) is the enemy of the Jews.” On that the Prophet [S.A.W.S] recited this Holy Verse:– “Whoever is an enemy to Gabriel (P.B.U.H) (let him die in his fury!) for he has brought it (i.e. Qur’an) down to your heart by ALLAH [S.W.T]’s permission.” (2.97) Then he added, “As for the first portent of the Hour, it will be a fire that will collect the people from the East to West. And as for the first meal of the people of Paradise, it will be the caudite (i.e. extra) lobe of the fish liver. And if a man’s discharge proceeded that of the woman, then the child resembles the father, and if the woman’s discharge proceeded that of the man, then the child resembles the mother.” On hearing that, ‘Abdullah (R.A) said, “I testify that None has the right to be worshipped but ALLAH [S.W.T], and that you are the Apostle of ALLAH [S.W.T], O, ALLAH [S.W.T]’s Apostle [S.A.W.S]; the Jews are liars, and if they should come to know that I have embraced Islam, they would accuse me of being a liar.” In the meantime, some Jews came (to the Prophet [S.A.W.S]) and he asked them, “What is ‘Abdullah (R.A)’s status amongst you?” They replied, “He is the best amongst us, and he is our chief and the son of our chief.” The Prophet [S.A.W.S] said, “What would you think if ‘Abdullah bin Salam (R.A) embraced Islam?” They replied, “May ALLAH [S.W.T] protect him from this!” Then ‘Abdullah (R.A) came out and said, “I testify that none has the right to be worshipped but ALLAH [S.W.T] and that Muhammad [S.A.W.S] is the Apostle of ALLAH [S.W.T].” The Jews then said, “Abdullah (R.A) is the worst of us and the son of the worst of us,” and disparaged him. On that ‘Abdullah (R.A) said, “O ALLAH [S.W.T]’s Apostle [S.A.W.S]! This is what I was afraid of!”

Sahih Bukhari: Volume 7, Book 70: Patients, Number 545:

Narrated Abu Sa’id Al-Khudri and Abu Huraira (R.A):

The Prophet [S.A.W.S] said, “No fatigue, nor disease, nor sorrow, nor sadness, nor hurt, nor distress befalls a Muslim, even if it were the prick he receives from a thorn, but that ALLAH [S.W.T] expiates some of his sins for that.”

Sahih Bukhari: Volume 7, Book 71: Medicine, Number 606:

 Narrated Ibn ‘Abbas (R.A):

ALLAH [S.W.T]‘s Apostle [S.A.W.S] said, ‘Nations were displayed before me; one or two Prophets (P.B.U.T) would pass by along with a few followers. A Prophet (P.B.U.H) would pass by accompanied by nobody. Then a big crowd of people passed in front of me and I asked, Who are they? Are they my followers?” It was said, ‘No. It is Moses (P.B.U.H) (and his followers. It was said to me, ‘Look at the horizon.” Behold! There was a multitude of people filling the horizon. Then it was said to me, ‘Look there and there about the stretching sky! Behold! There was a multitude filling the horizon,’ It was said to me, ‘This is your nation out of whom seventy thousand shall enter Paradise without reckoning.’ “Then the Prophet [S.A.W.S] entered his house without telling his companions (R.A) who they (the 70,000) were. So the people started talking about the issue and said, “It is we who have believed in ALLAH [S.W.T] and followed HIS Apostle [S.A.W.S]; therefore those people are either ourselves or our children who are born in the Islamic era, for we were born in the Pre-lslamic Period of Ignorance.” When the Prophet [S.A.W.S] heard of that, he came out and said. “Those people are those who do not treat themselves with Ruqya, nor do they believe in bad or good omen (from birds etc.) nor do they get themselves branded (Cauterized) but they put their trust (only) in their LORD ” On that ‘Ukasha bin Muhsin (R.A) said. “Am I one of them, O ALLAH [S.W.T]‘s Apostle [S.A.W.S]?’ The Prophet [S.A.W.S] said, “Yes.” Then another person got up and said, “Am I one of them?” The Prophet [S.A.W.S] said, ‘Ukasha (R.A) has anticipated you.”

If somebody intends to do a good deed and he does not do it, then ALLAH [S.W.T] will write for him a full good deed (in his account with HIM); and if he intends to do a good deed and actually did it, then ALLAH [S.W.T] will write for him (in his account with HIM) (its reward equal) from ten to seven hundred times to many more times: and if somebody intended to do a bad deed and he does not do it, then ALLAH [S.W.T] will write a full good deed (in his account with HIM), and if he intended to do it (a bad deed) and actually did it, then ALLAH [S.W.T] will write one bad deed (in his account).”

(He should secure pardon in this life) before some of his good deeds are taken and paid to his brother, or, if he has done no good deeds, some of the bad deeds of his brother are taken to be loaded on him (in the Hereafter).”

 Narrated Hudhaifa bin Al-Yaman (R.A):

The people used to ask ALLAH [S.W.T]’s Apostle [S.A.W.S] about the good but I used to ask him about the evil lest I should be overtaken by them. So I said, “O ALLAH [S.W.T]’s Apostle [S.A.W.S]! We were living in ignorance and in an (extremely) worst atmosphere, then ALLAH [S.W.T] brought to us this good (i.e., Islam); will there be any evil after this good?” He said, “Yes.” I said, ‘Will there be any good after that evil?” He replied, “Yes, but it will be tainted (not pure.)” I asked, “What will be its taint?” He replied, “(There will be) some people who will guide others not according to my tradition? You will approve of some of their deeds and disapprove of some others.” I asked, “Will there be any evil after that good?” He replied, “Yes, (there will be) some people calling at the gates of the (Hell) Fire, and whoever will respond to their call, will be thrown by them into the (Hell) Fire.” I said, “O ALLAH [S.W.T] s Apostle! Will you describe them to us?” He said, “They will be from our own people and will speak our language.” I said, “What do you order me to do if such a state should take place in my life?” He said, “Stick to the group of Muslims and their Imam (ruler).” I said, “If there is neither a group of Muslims nor an Imam (ruler)?” He said, “Then turn away from all those sects even if you were to bite (eat) the roots of a tree till death overtakes you while you are in that state.”

Sahih Bukhari: Volume 9, Book 89: Judgments (Ahkaam), Number 257:

 Narrated Ibn ‘Abbas (R.A):

The Prophet [S.A.W.S] said, “If somebody sees his Muslim ruler doing something he disapproves of, he should be patient, for whoever becomes separate from the Muslim group even for a span and then dies, he will die as those who died in the Pre-lslamic period of ignorance (as rebellious sinners).

If he remembers ME in himself, I too, remember him in MYSELF; and if he remembers ME in a group of people, I remember him in a group that is better than they; and if he comes one span nearer to ME, I go one cubit nearer to him; and if he comes one cubit nearer to ME, I go a distance of two outstretched arms nearer to him; and if he comes to ME walking, I go to him running.’”

The Messenger of ALLAH [S.W.T] [S.A.W.S] sent me (as a governor of Yemen) and (at the time of departure) instructed me thus: You will soon find yourself in a community one among the people of the Book, so first call them to testify that there is no god but ALLAH [S.W.T], that I (Muhammad [S.A.W.S]) am the messenger of ALLAH [S.W.T], and if they accept this, then tell them ALLAH [S.W.T] has enjoined upon them five prayers during the day and the night and if they accept it, then tell them that ALLAH [S.W.T] has made Zakat obligatory for them that it should be collected from the rich and distributed among the poor, and if they agree to it don’t pick up (as a share of Zakat) the best of their wealth’s. Beware of the supplication of the oppressed for there is no barrier between him and ALLAH [S.W.T].

Sahih Muslim: Chapter 10, Book 1: Faith (Kitab Al Iman), Number 0036:

It is reported by Sa’id b. Musayyib (R.A)who narrated it on the authority of his father (Musayyib b. Hazm (R.A)):

That when Abu Talib was about to die, the Messenger of ALLAH [S.W.T] [S.A.W.S] came to him and found with him Abu Jahl (‘Amr b. Hisham) and ‘Abdullah b. Abi Umayya ibn al-Mughirah. The Messenger of ALLAH [S.W.T] [S.A.W.S] said: My uncle, you just make a profession that there is no god but ALLAH [S.W.T], and I will bear testimony before ALLAH [S.W.T] (of your being a believer), Abu Jahl and ‘Abdullah b. Abi Umayya addressing him said: Abu Talib, would you abandon the religion of ‘Abdul-Muttalib? The Messenger of ALLAH [S.W.T] [S.A.W.S] constantly requested him (to accept his offer), and (on the other hand) was repeated the same statement (of Abu Jahl and ‘Abdullah b. Abi Umayya) till Abu Talib gave his final decision and be stuck to the religion of ‘Abdul-Muttalib and refused to profess that there is no god but ALLAH [S.W.T]. Upon this the Messenger of ALLAH [S.W.T] [S.A.W.S] remarked: By ALLAH [S.W.T], I will persistently beg pardon for you till I am forbidden to do so (by ALLAH [S.W.T]), It was then that ALLAH [S.W.T], the Magnificent and the Glorious, revealed this verse: “It is not meet for the Prophet and for those who believe that they should beg pardon for the polytheists, even though they were their kith and kin, after it had been made known to them that they were the denizens of Hell” (9. 113) And it was said to the Messenger of ALLAH [S.W.T] [S.A.W.S]: “Verily thou canst not guide to the right path whom thou lovest. And it is ALLAH [S.W.T] WHO guideth whom HE will, and HE knoweth best who are the guided”(28. 56).

Sahih Muslim: Chapter 11, Book 1: Faith (Kitab Al Iman), Number 0045:

It is narrated on the authority of Sunabihi (R.A):

That he went to Ubada b. Samit (R.A) when he was about to die. I burst into tears. Upon this he said to me: Allow me some time (so that I may talk with you). Why do you weep? By ALLAH [S.W.T], if I am asked to bear witness, I would certainly testify for you (that you are a believer). Should I be asked to intercede, I would certainly intercede for you, and if I have the power, I would certainly do good to you, and then observed: By ALLAH [S.W.T], never did I hear anything from the Messenger of ALLAH [S.W.T] [S.A.W.S] which could have been a source of benefit to you and then not conveyed it to you except this single hadith. That I intend to narrate to you today, since I am going to breathe my last. I heard the Messenger of ALLAH [S.W.T] [S.A.W.S] say: He who testifies that there is no god but ALLAH [S.W.T] and that Muhammad [S.A.W.S] is the Messenger of ALLAH [S.W.T], ALLAH [S.W.T] would prohibit the fire of Hell for him.

I, therefore, sent (a message to the Holy Prophet [S.A.W.S]): Verily it is my ardent desire that you should kindly grace my house with your presence and observe prayer there so, that I should make that corner a place of worship. He said: The Prophet [S.A.W.S] came there, and those amongst the Companions (R.A) whom ALLAH [S.W.T] willed also accompanied him. He entered (my place) and offered prayer at my residence and his Companions (R.A) began to talk amongst themselves (and this conversation centered round hypocrites), and then the conspicuous one, Malik b. Dukhshum was made the target and they wished that he (the Holy Prophet [S.A.W.S]) should curse him and he should die or he should meet some calamity. In the meanwhile the Messenger of ALLAH [S.W.T] [S.A.W.S] completed his prayer and said: Does Malik b. Dukhshum not testify the fact that there is no god but ALLAH [S.W.T] and verily I am the messenger of ALLAH [S.W.T]. They replied: He makes a profession of it (no doubt) but does not do it out of (sincere) heart. He (the Holy Prophet [S.A.W.S]) said: He who testifies that there is no god but ALLAH [S.W.T] and I am the messenger of ALLAH [S.W.T] would not enter Hell or its (flames) would not consume him. Anas (R.A) said: This hadith impressed me very much and I told my son to write it down.

Abu Huraira (R.A) reported:

The Messenger of ALLAH [S.W.T] [S.A.W.S] observed: You shall not enter Paradise so long as you do not affirm belief (in all those things which are the articles of faith) and you will not believe as long as you do not love one another. Should I not direct you to a thing which, if you do, will foster love amongst you: (i.e.) give currency to (the practice of paying salutation to one another by saying: As-salamu alaikum.

That the Messenger of ALLAH [S.W.T] [S.A.W.S] observed: O womenfolk, you should give charity and ask much forgiveness for I saw you in bulk amongst the dwellers of Hell. A wise lady among them said: Why is it, Messenger of ALLAH [S.W.T] [S.A.W.S], that our folk is in bulk in Hell? Upon this the Holy Prophet [S.A.W.S] observed: You curse too much and are ungrateful to your spouses. I have seen none lacking in common sense and failing in religion but (at the same time) robbing the wisdom of the wise, besides you. Upon this the woman remarked: What is wrong with our common sense and with religion? He (the Holy Prophet [S.A.W.S]) observed: Your lack of common sense (can be well judged from the fact) that the evidence of two women is equal to one man, that is a proof of the lack of common sense, and you spend some nights (and days) in which you do not offer prayer and in the month of Ramadan (during the days) you do not observe fast, that is a failing in religion. This hadith has been narrated on the authority of Abu Tahir (R.A) with this chain of transmitters.

He said to the owner of that heap of eatables (corn): What is this? He replied: Messenger of ALLAH [S.W.T] [S.A.W.S], these have been drenched by rainfall. He (the Holy Prophet [S.A.W.S]) remarked: Why did you not place this (the drenched part of the heap) over other eatables so that the people could see it? He who deceives is not of me (is not my follower).

Sahih Muslim: Chapter 48, Book 1: Faith (Kitab Al Iman), Number 0202:

That the Apostle of ALLAH [S.W.T] [S.A.W.S] observes: None is obliged to give votive offering (of a thing) which is not in his possession and the cursing of a believer is tantamount to killing him, and he who killed himself with a thing in this world would be tormented with that (very thing) on the Day of Resurrection, and he who made a false claim to increase (his wealth), ALLAH [S.W.T] would make no addition but that of paucity, and he who perjured would earn the wrath of ALLAH [S.W.T].

I invited my mother, who was a polytlieist, to Islam. I invited her one day and she said to me something about ALLAH [S.W.T]’s Messenger [S.A.W.S] which I hated. I came to ALLAH [S.W.T]’s Messenger [S.A.W.S] weeping and said: ALLAH [S.W.T]’s Messenger [S.A.W.S], I invited my mother to Islam but she did not accept (my invitation). I invited her today but she said to me something, which I did not like. (Kindly) supplicate ALLAH [S.W.T] that HE may set the mother of Abu Huraira (R.A) right. Thereupon ALLAH [S.W.T]’s Messenger [S.A.W.S] said: O ALLAH [S.W.T], set the mother of Abu Huraira (R.A) on the right path. I came out quite pleased with the supplication of ALLAH [S.W.T]’s Apostle [S.A.W.S] and when I came near the door it was closed from within. My mother heard the noise of my footsteps and she said: Abu Huraira (R.A), just wait, and I heard the noise of falling of water. She took a bath and put on the shirt and quickly covered her head with a headdress and opened the door and then said: Abu Huraira (R.A), I bear witness to the fact that there is no god but ALLAH [S.W.T] and Muhammad [S.A.W.S] is HIS bondsman and HIS Messenger [S.A.W.S]. He (Abu Huraira (R.A)) said: I went back to ALLAH [S.W.T]’s Messenger [S.A.W.S] and (this time) I was shedding the tears of joy. I said: ALLAH [S.W.T]’s Messenger [S.A.W.S], be happy, for ALLAH [S.W.T] has responded to your supplication and HE has set on the right path the mother of Abu Huraira (R.A). He (the Holy Prophet [S.A.W.S]) Praised ALLAH [S.W.T], and extolled HIM and uttered good words. I said: ALLAH [S.W.T]’s Messenger [S.A.W.S], supplicate to ALLAH [S.W.T] so that HE may instill love of mine and that of my mother too in the believing servants and let our hearts be filled with their love, whereupon ALLAH [S.W.T]’s Messenger [S.A.W.S] said: O ALLAH [S.W.T], let there be love of these servants of yours, i.e. Abu Huraira (R.A) and his mother, in the hearts of the believing servants and let their hearts be filled with the love of the believing servants. (Abu Huraira (R.A) said: This prayer) was so well granted by ALLAH [S.W.T] that no believer was ever born who heard of me and who saw me but did not love me.

Abu Huraira (R.A) reported:

ALLAH [S.W.T]’s Messenger [S.A.W.S] as saying: No babe is born but upon Fitra. It is his parents who make him a Jew or a Christian or a Polytheist. A person said: ALLAH [S.W.T]’s Messenger [S.A.W.S], what is your opinion if they were to die before that (before reaching the age of adolescence when they can distinguish between right and wrong)? He said: It is ALLAH [S.W.T] alone WHO knows what they would be doing.

Sahih Muslim: Chapter 6, Book 34: Knowledge (Kitab Al-’Ilm), Number 6470:

Abu Huraira (R.A) reported:

ALLAH [S.W.T]’s Messenger [S.A.W.S] as saying: He who called (people) to righteousness, there would be reward (assured) for him like the rewards of those who adhered to it, without their rewards being diminished in any respect. And he who called (people) to error, he shall have to carry (the burden) of its sin, like those who committed it, without their sins being diminished in any respect.

Sahih Muslim: Chapter 13, Book 32: Virtue, Good Manners And Joining Of The Ties Of Relationship, Number 6246:

Abu Dharr (R.A) reported:

ALLAH [S.W.T]’s Messenger [S.A.W.S] as saying that ALLAH [S.W.T], the Exalted and Glorious, said: MY servants, I have made oppression unlawful for ME and unlawful for you, so do not commit oppression against one another. MY servants, all of you are liable to err except one whom I guide on the right path, so seek right guidance from ME so that I should direct you to the right path. O MY servants, all of you are hungry (needy) except one whom I feed, so beg food from ME, so that I may give that to you. O MY servants, all of you are naked (need clothes) except one whom I provide garments, so beg clothes from ME, so that I should clothe you. O MY servants, you commit error night and day and I am there to pardon your sins, so beg pardon from ME so that I should grant you pardon. O MY servants, you can neither do ME any harm nor can you do ME any good. O MY servants, even if the first amongst you and the last amongst you and even the whole of human race of yours, and that of jinns even, become (equal in) ALLAH [S.W.T]-conscious like the heart of a single person amongst you, nothing would add to MY Power. O MY servants, even if the first amongst you and the last amongst you and the whole human race of yours and that of the jinns too in unison become the most wicked (all beating) like the heart of a single person, it would cause no loss to MY Power. O MY servants, even if the first amongst you and the last amongst you and the whole human race of yours and that of jinns also all stand in one plain ground and you ask ME and I confer upon every person what he asks for, it would not in any way, cause any loss to ME (even less) than that which is caused to the ocean by dipping the needle in it. MY servants, these for you I shall reward you for thern, so he who deeds of yours which I am recording finds good should Praise ALLAH [S.W.T] and he who does not find that should not blame anyone but his ownself. Sa’id (R.A) said: That when Abu Idris Khaulini (R.A) narrated this hadith he knelt upon his knees.

“And strive for ALLAH with the striving due to HIM. HE has chosen you and has not placed upon you in the religion any difficulty. [It is] the religion of your father, Abraham. ALLAH named you “Muslims” before [in former scriptures] and in this [revelation] that the Messenger may be a witness over you and you may be witnesses over the people. So establish prayer and give zakah and hold fast to ALLAH. HE is your PROTECTOR; and excellent is the PROTECTOR, and excellent is the HELPER.”
