How to Make Intention to Pray (Niyat)

[All the information I gave here are collected from the book and I tried to make the Arabic pronunciations as much as right as possible, though I’ll recommend you to learn real Arabic pronunciations rather than reading it from English text that I provided.  And remember words of Salah/Prayer/Namaaz has to be recited in Arabic, the translation I only gave here so that you can understand the meaning what you are reciting; so that you can concentrate on prayer more politely, generously and submit your wills best way to ALLAH [S.W.T] as a most obedient servant should.]

“When you are performing Salah/Prayer/Namaaz that time you are talking with ALLAH [S.W.T] in private.”

May ALLAH Be with you and Bless you and Help you to follow the straight path.

How to Make Intention to Salah/Prayer/Namaaz (Niyat)

Important Note

Remember a person can gain more benefit if that person performs prayers in a Mosque by following the leads of Imam. Generally Fard [Obligatory] prayer has to perform behind the leads of Imam; there are some exceptions too. When a person intent to pray/Niyat behind the leads of Imam; Intention to Pray/Niyat has to change slightly than that person intent to pray and perform prayer alone. In every intention to pray/Niyat you will find [Allahuu Akbar], it’s not part of the intention rather it’s a part of Salah/Prayer/Namaaz. You have to recite it together as given below that’s why it is given together.

For Imam/Leader (the Intention/Niyat) of Prayer is

Aaanaa Imamumml ‘Leman Haazara Wa Maiy-Ahzuru” < this part has to be added before > “Mutaouuazzihan” rest of the parts are same.

For example-

Salat-ul-lsha 4 Rakat Fard [Obligatory]

Pronunciation:

“Nawayatu Aan Usallia Lillahi Ta’ala Arbaa Rakaate Salatil Ishaee Faarajullahi Taala Aaanaa Imamumml ‘Leman Haazara Wa Maiy-Ahzuru Mutaouuazzihan Ila Zihatil Ka’batish Sharifati, Allahuu Akbar”

Translation:

(I Headed for ALLAH Intent to Pray lsha’s 4 Rakat ALLAH Taala’s Fard Prayer as an Imam of Present and Those Who Will Join Later Facing towards Kabah, ALLAH is Most Great)

Translation

ALLAH – there is no deity except HIM, the EVER-LIVING, the SUSTAINER of [all] existence. Neither drowsiness overtakes HIM nor sleep. To HIM belongs whatever is in the heavens and whatever is on the earth. Who is it that can intercede with HIM except by HIS permission? HE knows what is [presently] before them and what will be after them, and they encompass not a thing of HIS knowledge except for what HE wills. HIS Kursi extends over the heavens and the earth, and their preservation tires HIM not. And HE is the MOST HIGH, the MOST GREAT.

Some Hadith Regarding SALAH/PRAYERS/NAMAAZ

[Abu’Dawood & Tirmidhi]

Our Beloved Prophet [S.A.W.S] said to his uncle Abbas (R.A) Oh uncle shall I not give you! Shall I not grant you! Shall I not award you! Shall I not do mercy on you! When you do ten things ALLAH [S.W.T] will forgive your sins: of the future and of the past; new and old; those you have forgotten and those you did knowingly; big and small; hidden and revealed. Then Prophet [S.A.W.S] explained the taught the way to pray Salatul Tasbih and then said if you can pray this salah once a day, if you can not pray once a day then every Friday, and even if this is not possible then once a month and even if this is not possible then once a year and even if this is not possible then at least once in a lifetime.

Sahih Bukhari: Volume 1, Book 2: Belief, Number 7:

  Narrated Ibn ‘Umar (R.A):

ALLAH [S.W.T]’s Apostle [S.A.W.S] said: Islam is based on (the following) five (principles):

1. To testify that none has the right to be worshipped but ALLAH [S.W.T] and Muhammad [S.A.W.S] is ALLAH [S.W.T]’s Apostle.

2. To offer the (compulsory congregational) prayers dutifully and perfectly.

3. To pay Zakat (i.e. obligatory charity).

4. To perform Hajj. (i.e. Pilgrimage toMecca)

5. To observe fast during the month of Ramadan.

Sahih Bukhari: Volume 1, Book 4: Wudu’, Number 184:

Narrated Asma’ bint Abu Bakr (R.A):

I came to ‘Aisha (R.A) the wife of the Prophet [S.A.W.S] during the solar eclipse. The people were standing and offering the prayer and she was also praying. I asked her, “What is wrong with the people?” She beckoned with her hand towards the sky and said, “Subhan ALLAH.” I asked her, “Is there a sign?” She pointed out, “Yes.” So I, too, stood for the prayer till I fell unconscious and later on I poured water on my head. After the prayer, ALLAH [S.W.T]’s Apostle [S.A.W.S] praised and glorified ALLAH and said, “Just now I have seen something which I never saw before at this place of mine, including Paradise and Hell. I have been inspired (and have understood) that you will be put to trials in your graves and these trials will be like the trials of Ad-Dajjal, or nearly like it (the sub narrator is not sure of what Asma’ said). Angels (P.B.U.T) will come to every one of you and ask, ‘What do you know about this man?’ A believer will reply, ‘He is Muhammad [S.A.W.S], ALLAH [S.W.T]’s Apostle, and he came to us with self-evident truth and guidance. So we accepted his teaching, believed and followed him.’ Then the Angels will say to him to sleep in peace as they have come to know that he was a believer. On the other hand a hypocrite or a doubtful person will reply, ‘I do not know but heard the people saying something and so I said the same.’

Sahih Bukhari: Volume 1, Book 8: Prayers, Number 345:

  Narrated Abu Dhar (R.A):

ALLAH [S.W.T]’s Apostle [S.A.W.S] said, “While I was atMeccathe roof of my house was opened and Gabriel (P.B.U.H) descended, opened my chest, and washed it with Zam-zam water. Then he brought a golden tray full of wisdom and faith and having poured its contents into my chest, he closed it. Then he took my hand and ascended with me to the nearest heaven, when I reached the nearest heaven, Gabriel (P.B.U.H) said to the gatekeeper of the heaven, ‘Open (the gate).’ The gatekeeper asked, ‘Who is it?’ Gabriel (P.B.U.H) answered: ‘Gabriel.’ He asked, ‘Is there anyone with you?’ Gabriel (P.B.U.H) replied, ‘Yes, Muhammad is with me.’ He asked, ‘Has he been called?’ Gabriel (P.B.U.H) said, ‘Yes.’ So the gate was opened and we went over the nearest heaven and there we saw a man sitting with some people on his right and some on his left. When he looked towards his right, he laughed and when he looked toward his left he wept. Then he said, ‘Welcome! O pious Prophet and pious son.’ I asked Gabriel, ‘Who is he?’ He replied, ‘He is Adam and the people on his right and left are the souls of his offspring. Those on his right are the people of Paradise and those on his left are the people of Hell and when he looks towards his right he laughs and when he looks towards his left he weeps.’ Then he ascended with me till he reached the second heaven and he (Gabriel) said to its gatekeeper, ‘Open (the gate).’ The gatekeeper said to him the same as the gatekeeper of the first heaven had said and he opened the gate. Anas (R.A) said: “Abu Dhar (R.A) added that the Prophet [S.A.W.S] met Adam, Idris, Moses, Jesus and Abraham (P.B.U.T), he (Abu Dhar) did not mention on which heaven they were but he mentioned that he (the Prophet) met Adam (P.B.U.H) on the nearest heaven and Abraham (P.B.U.H) on the sixth heaven. Anas (R.A) said, “When Gabriel (P.B.U.H) along with the Prophet [S.A.W.S] passed by Idris (P.B.U.H), the latter said, ‘Welcome! O pious Prophet and pious brother.’ The Prophet [S.A.W.S] asked, ‘Who is he?’ Gabriel (P.B.U.H) replied, ‘He is Idris.” The Prophet [S.A.W.S] added, “I passed by Moses (P.B.U.H) and he said, ‘Welcome! O pious Prophet and pious brother.’ I asked Gabriel (P.B.U.H), ‘Who is he?’ Gabriel (P.B.U.H) replied, ‘He is Moses.’ Then I passed by Jesus (P.B.U.H) and he said, ‘Welcome!   One day while the Prophet [S.A.W.S] was sitting in the company of some people, (The Angel) Gabriel (P.B.U.H) came and asked, “What is faith?” ALLAH [S.W.T]’s Apostle [S.A.W.S] replied, ‘Faith is to believe in ALLAH [S.W.T], HIS Angels (P.B.U.T), (the) meeting with HIM, HIS Apostles (P.B.U.T), and to believe in Resurrection.” Then he further asked, “What is Islam?” ALLAH [S.W.T]’s Apostle [S.A.W.S] replied, “To worship ALLAH [S.W.T] Alone and none else, to offer prayers perfectly to pay the compulsory charity (Zakat) and to observe fasts during the month of Ramadan.” Then he further asked, “What is Ihsan (perfection)?” ALLAH [S.W.T]’s Apostle [S.A.W.S] replied, “To worship ALLAH [S.W.T] as if you see HIM, and if you cannot achieve this state of devotion then you must consider that HE is looking at you.” Then he further asked, “When will the Hour be established?” ALLAH [S.W.T]’s Apostle [S.A.W.S] replied, “The answerer has no better knowledge than the questioner. But I will inform you about its portents.

1. When a slave (lady) gives birth to her master.

2. When the shepherds of black camels start boasting and competing with others in the construction of higher buildings. And the Hour is one of five things which nobody knows except ALLAH [S.W.T]. The Prophet [S.A.W.S] then recited: “Verily, with ALLAH [S.W.T] (Alone) is the knowledge of the Hour–.” (31. 34) Then that man (Gabriel (P.B.U.H)) left and the Prophet [S.A.W.S] asked his companions to call him back, but they could not see him. All men go out early in the morning and sell themselves, thereby setting themselves free or destroying themselves.

They observe prayer as we do; they keep the fasts as we keep, and they give Sadaqa out of their surplus riches. Upon this he (the Holy Prophet [S.A.W.S]) said: Has ALLAH [S.W.T] not prescribed for you (a course) by following which you can (also) do sadaqa? In every declaration of the Glorification of ALLAH [S.W.T] (i.e. saying Subhan ALLAH) there is a Sadaqa, and every Takbir (i.e. saying ALLAHU Akbar) is a sadaqa, and every Praise of HIS (saying al-Hamdu Lillah) is a Sadaqa and every declaration that HE is ONE (La illha ill-ALLAH) is a sadaqa, and enjoining of good is a sadaqa, and forbidding of that which is evil is a Sadaqa, and in man’s sexual Intercourse (with his wife,) there is a Sadaqa. They (the Companions (R.A)) said: Messenger of ALLAH [S.W.T] [S.A.W.S], is there reward for him who satisfies his sexual passion among us? He said: Tell me, if he were to devote it to something forbidden, would it not be a sin on his part? Similarly, if he were to devote it to something lawful, he should have a reward.

Sahih Muslim: Chapter 9, Book 2: Purification (Kitab Al-Taharah), Number 0482:

I love to see my brothers. They (the hearers) said: Arn’t we your brothers-Messenger of ALLAH [S.W.T]? He said: You are my companions, and our brothers are those who have, so far, not come into the world. They said: ALLAH [S.W.T]‘s Messenger [S.A.W.S], how would you recognize those persons of your Ummah who have not yet been born? He said: Suppose a man had horses with white blazes on fore- heads and legs among horses which were all black, tell me, would he not recognize his own horses? They said: Certainly. ALLAH [S.W.T]‘s Messenger [S.A.W.S]. He said: They would come with white faces and arms and legs owing to ablution, and I would arrive at the Cistern before them. Some people would be driven away from my Cistern as the stray camel is driven away. I would call out. Come, come. Then it would be said (to me): These people changed themselves after you, and I would say: Be off, be off.

ALLAH [S.W.T]‘s Apostle [S.A.W.S] said, “You have to offer prayers perfectly five times in a day and night (24 hours).” The man asked, “Is there any more (praying)?” ALLAH [S.W.T]‘s Apostle [S.A.W.S] replied, “No, but if you want to offer the Nawafil prayers (you can).” ALLAH [S.W.T]‘s Apostle [S.A.W.S] further said to him: “You have to observe fasts during the month of Ramadan.” The man asked, “Is there any more fasting?” ALLAH [S.W.T]‘s Apostle [S.A.W.S] replied, “No, but if you want to observe the Nawafil fasts (you can.)” Then ALLAH [S.W.T]‘s Apostle [S.A.W.S] further said to him, “You have to pay the Zakat (obligatory charity).” The man asked, “Is there any thing other than the Zakat for me to pay?” ALLAH [S.W.T]‘s Apostle [S.A.W.S] replied, “No, unless you want to give alms of your own.” And then that man retreated saying, “By ALLAH [S.W.T]! 2. The earth has been made for me (and for my followers) a place for praying and a thing to perform Tayammum. Therefore my followers can pray wherever the time of a prayer is due.

3. The booty has been made Halal (lawful) for me (and was not made so for anyone else).

But as regards yawning, it is from Satan, so if one of you yawns, he should try his best to stop it, for when anyone of you yawns, Satan laughs at him.”

Sahih Bukhari: Volume 8, Book 77: Divine Will (Al-Qadar), Number 607:

ALLAH [S.W.T]’s Apostle [S.A.W.S] came close to us and said, “O people! Don’t exert yourselves, for you do not call a deaf or an absent one, but you call the All-Listener, the All-Seer.” The Prophet [S.A.W.S] then said, “O ‘Abdullah bin Qais! Shall I teach you a sentence which is from the treasures of Paradise? (It is): ‘La haula wala quwata illa billah. (There is neither might nor power except with ALLAH [S.W.T]).”

Some others said, “Do not ask him, lest he should tell you what you dislike” But they went up to him and said, “O Abal Qasim! Inform us about the spirit.” The Prophet [S.A.W.S] stood up for a while, waiting. I realized that he was being Divinely Inspired, so I kept away from him till the inspiration was over. Then the Prophet [S.A.W.S] said, “(O Muhammad, they ask you regarding the spirit, Say: The spirit its knowledge is with my LORD (i.e., nobody has its knowledge except ALLAH [S.W.T])” (17.85) (This is a miracle of the Qur’an that all the scientists up till now do not know about the spirit, i.e, how life comes to a body and how it goes away at its death)

Sahih Muslim: Chapter 18, Book 41: Pertaining To Turmoil And Portents Of The Last Hour (Kitab Al-Fitan Wa Ashrat As-Sa’Ah), Number 7015:

An-Nawwas b. Sam’an (R.A) reported:

That ALLAH [S.W.T]’s Messenger [S.A.W.S] made a mention of the dajjal one day in the morning. He sometimes described him to be insignificant and sometimes described (his turmoil) as very significant rand we felt) as if he were in the cluster of the date-palm trees. When we went to him (to the Holy Prophet [S.A.W.S]) in the evening and he read (the signs of fear) in our faces, he said: What is the matter with you? We said: ALLAH [S.W.T]’s Messenger [S.A.W.S], you made a mention of the dajjal in the morning (sometimes describing him) to be insignificant and sometimes very important, until we began to think as if he were present in some (near) part of the cluster of the date-palm trees. Thereupon he said: I harbor fear in regard to you in so many other things besides the dajjal. If he comes forth while I am among on, I shall contend with him on your behalf, but if he comes forth while I am not amongst you, a man must contend on his own behalf and ALLAH [S.W.T] would take care of every Muslim on my behalf (and safeguard him against his evil). He (dajjal) would be a young man with twisted, contracted hair, and a blind eye. I compare him to ‘Abd-ul-’Uzza b. Qatan. He who amongst you would survive to see him should recite over him the opening verses of Sura Kahf (18.). He would appear on the way betweenSyriaandIraqand would spread mischief right and left. O servants of ALLAH [S.W.T]! Adhere (to the path of Truth). We said: ALLAH [S.W.T]’s Messenger [S.A.W.S], how long would he stay on the earth? He said: For forty days, one day like a year and one day like a month and one day like a week and the rest of the days would be like your days. We said: ALLAH [S.W.T]’s Messenger [S.A.W.S], would one day’s prayer suffice for the prayers of day equal to one year? Thereupon he said: No, but you must make an estimate of time (and then observe prayer). We said: ALLAH [S.W.T]’s Messenger [S.A.W.S], how quickly would he walk upon the earth? Thereupon he said: Like cloud driven by the wind. He would come to the people and invite them (to a wrong religion) and they would affirm their faith in him and respond to him. He would then give command to the sky and there would be rainfall upon the earth and it would grow crops. Then in the evening, their posturing animals would come to them with their humps very high and their udders full of milk and their flanks stretched. He would then come to another people and invite them. But they would reject him and he would go away from them and there would be drought for them and nothing would be left with them in the form of wealth. He would then walk through the waste, land and say to it: Bring forth your treasures, and the treasures would come out and collect (themselves) before him like the swarm of bees. He would then call a person brimming with youth and strike him with the sword and cut him into two pieces and (make these pieces lie at a distance which is generally) between the archer and his target. He would then call (that young man) and he will come forward laughing with his face gleaming (with happiness) and it would at this very time that ALLAH [S.W.T] would send Jesus Christ, son of Mary (P.B.U.T), and he will descend at the white minaret in the eastern side of Damascus wearing two garments lightly dyed with saffron and placing his hands on the wings of two Angels (P.B.U.T). When he would lower his head, there would fall beads of perspiration from his head, and when he would raise it up, beads like pearls would scatter from it. Every non-believer who would smell the odor of his self would die and his breath would reach as far as he would be able to see. He would then search for him (dajjal) until he would catch hold of him at the gate of Ludd and would kill him. Then a people whom ALLAH [S.W.T] had protected would come to Jesus, son of Mary (P.B.U.T), and he would wipe their faces and would inform them of their ranks in Paradise and it would be under such conditions that ALLAH [S.W.T] would reveal to Jesus (P.B.U.H) these words: I have brought forth from amongst MY servants such people against whom none would be able to fight; you take these people safely to Tur, and then ALLAH [S.W.T] would send yajuj/gog and Majuj/magog and they would swarm down from every slope. The first of them would pass thelakeofTiberiusand drink out of it. And when the last of them would pass, he would say: There was once water there. Jesus (P.B.U.H) and his companions (R.A) would then be besieged here (at Tur, and they would be so much hard pressed) that the head of the ox would be dearer to them than one hundred diners and ALLAH [S.W.T]’s Apostle, Jesus (P.B.U.H), and his companions (R.A) would supplicate ALLAH [S.W.T], WHO would send to them insects (which would attack their necks) and in the morning they would perish like one single person. ALLAH [S.W.T]’s Apostle, Jesus (P.B.U.H), and his companions (R.A) would then come down to the earth and they would not find in the earth as much space as a single span which is not filled with their putrefaction and stench. ALLAH [S.W.T]’s Apostle, Jesus (P.B.U.H), and his companions (R.A) would then again beseech ALLAH [S.W.T], WHO would send birds whose necks would be like those of Bactrian camels and they would carry them and throw them where ALLAH [S.W.T] would Will. Then ALLAH [S.W.T] would send rain which no house of clay or (the tent of) camels’ hairs would keep out and it would wash away the earth until it could appear to be a mirror. Then the earth would be told to bring forth its fruit and restore its blessing and, as a result thereof, there would grow (such a big) pomegranate that a group of persons would be able to eat that, and seek shelter under its skin and milch cow would give so much milk that a whole party would be able to drink it. And the milch camel would give such (a large quantity of) milk that the whole tribe would be able to drink out of that and the milch sheep would give so much milk that the whole family would be able to drink out of that and at that time ALLAH [S.W.T] would send a pleasant wind which would soothe (people) even under their armpits, and would take the life of every Muslim and only the wicked would survive who would commit adultery like asses and the Last Hour would come to them.

Narrated Anas bin Malik (R.A):

The Prophet [S.A.W.S] said, “There will be no town which Ad-Dajjal will not enter except Mecca and Medina, and there will be no entrance (road) (of both Mecca and Medina) but the Angels (P.B.U.T) will be standing in rows guarding it against him, and then Medina will shake with its inhabitants thrice (i.e. three earth-quakes will take place) and ALLAH [S.W.T] will expel all the non-believers and the hypocrites from it.”

I also saw Malik (P.B.U.H), the gate-keeper of the (Hell) Fire and Ad-Dajjal amongst the signs which ALLAH [S.W.T] showed me.” (The Prophet [S.A.W.S] then recited the Holy Verse): “So be not you in doubt of meeting him’ when you met Moses (P.B.U.H) during the night of Mi’raj over the heavens” (32.23) Narrated Anas and Abu Bakra (R.A): “The Prophet [S.A.W.S] said, “The Angels will guardMedinafrom Ad-Dajjal (who will not be able to enter the city ofMedina).”

Narrated Ibn Umar (R.A):

We were talking about Hajjat-ul-Wada, while the Prophet [S.A.W.S] was amongst us. We did not know what Hajjat-ul-Wada’ signified. The Prophet [S.A.W.S] praised ALLAH [S.W.T] and then mentioned Al-Masih Ad-Dajjal and described him extensively, saying, “ALLAH [S.W.T] did not send any Prophet but that Prophet warned his nation of Al-Masih Ad-Dajjal. Noah (P.B.U.H) and the Prophets following him warned (their people) of him. He will appear amongst you (O Muhammad [S.A.W.S]‘s followers), and if it happens that some of his qualities may be hidden from you, but your LORD’s State is clear to you and not hidden from you. The Prophet [S.A.W.S] said it thrice. Verily, your LORD is not blind in one eye, while he (i.e. Ad-Dajjal) is blind in the right eye which looks like a grape bulging out (of its cluster). No doubt! ALLAH [S.W.T] has made your blood and your properties sacred to one another like the sanctity of this day of yours, in this town of yours, in this month of yours.” The Prophet [S.A.W.S] added: No doubt! Haven’t I conveyed ALLAH [S.W.T]‘s Message to you?” They replied, “Yes,” The Prophet [S.A.W.S] said thrice, “O ALLAH [S.W.T]! Be witness for it.” The Prophet [S.A.W.S] added, “Woe to you!” (or said), “May ALLAH [S.W.T] be Merciful to you! Do not become infidels after me (i.e. my death) by cutting the necks (throats) of one another.”

Sahih Bukhari: Volume 9, Book 88: Afflictions and the End of the World, Number 237:

Narrated Abu Huraira (R.A):

ALLAH [S.W.T]’s Apostle [S.A.W.S] said, “The Hour will not be established

(2) Till about thirty Dajjals (liars) appear, and each one of them will claim that he is ALLAH [S.W.T]’s Apostle,

(3) Till the religious knowledge is taken away (by the death of Religious scholars)

(4) Earthquakes will increase in number

(5) Time will pass quickly,

(6) Afflictions will appear,

(7) Al-Harj, (i.e., killing) will increase,

(8) Till wealth will be in abundance —- so abundant that a wealthy person will worry lest nobody should accept his Zakat, and whenever he will present it to someone, that person (to whom it will be offered) will say, ‘I am not in need of it,

(9) Till the people compete with one another in constructing high buildings,

(10) Till a man when passing by a grave of someone will say, ‘Would that I were in his place

(11) And till the sun rises from the West. So when the sun will rise and the people will see it (rising from the West) they will all believe (embrace Islam) but that will be the time when: (As ALLAH [S.W.T] said,) ‘No good will it do to a soul to believe then, if it believed not before, nor earned good (by deeds of righteousness) through its Faith.’ (6.158) And the Hour will be established while two men spreading a garment in front of them but they will not be able to sell it, nor fold it up; and the Hour will be established when a man has milked his she-camel and has taken away the milk but he will not be able to drink it; and the Hour will be established before a man repairing a tank (for his livestock) is able to water (his animals) in it; and the Hour will be established when a person has raised a morsel (of food) to his mouth but will not be able to eat it.”

He will encamp in one of the salt areas neighboringMedinaand there will appear to him a man who will be the best or one of the best of the people. He will say ‘I testify that you are Ad-Dajjal whose story ALLAH [S.W.T]’s Apostle [S.A.W.S] has told us.’ Ad-Dajjal will say (to his audience), ‘Look, if I kill this man and then give him life, will you have any doubt about my claim?’ They will reply, ‘No,’ Then Ad-Dajjal will kill that man and then will make him alive. The man will say, ‘By ALLAH [S.W.T], now I recognize you more than ever!’ Ad-Dajjal will then try to kill him (again) but he will not be given the power to do so.”

(1) A man whom ALLAH [S.W.T] has given wealth and he spends it righteously.

(2) A man whom ALLAH [S.W.T] has given wisdom (knowledge of the Qur’an and the Hadith) and he acts according to it and teaches it to others.”

(1) None knows what is in the womb, but ALLAH [S.W.T];

(2) None knows what will happen tomorrow, but ALLAH [S.W.T];

(3) None knows when it will rain, but ALLAH [S.W.T];

(4) None knows where he will die, but ALLAH [S.W.T] (knows that);

(5) And none knows when the Hour will be established, but ALLAH [S.W.T].”

Sahih Bukhari: Volume 9, Book 93: Oneness, Uniqueness of ALLAH (Tawheed), Number 507:

Narrated Anas (R.A):

The Prophet [S.A.W.S] said, “ALLAH [S.W.T] will gather the believers on the Day of Resurrection in the same way (as they are gathered in this life), and they will say, ‘Let us ask someone to intercede for us with our LORD that HE may Relieve us from this place of ours.’ Then they will go to Adam (P.B.U.H) and say, ‘O Adam! Don’t you see the people (people’s condition)? ALLAH [S.W.T] created you with HIS Own Hands and ordered HIS Angels (P.B.U.T) to prostrate before you, and taught you the names of all the things. Please intercede for us with our LORD so that HE may Relieve us from this place of ours.’ Adam (P.B.U.H) will say, ‘I am not fit for this undertaking’ and mention to them the mistakes he had committed, and add, “But you’d better go to Noah (P.B.U.H) as he was the first Apostle sent by ALLAH [S.W.T] to the people of the Earth.’ They will go to Noah (P.B.U.H) who will reply, ‘I am not fit for this undertaking,’ and mention the mistake which he made, and add, ‘But you’d better go to Abraham (P.B.U.H), Khalil Ar-Rahman.’ They will go to Abraham (P.B.U.H) who will reply, ‘I am not fit for this undertaking,’ and mention to them the mistakes he made, and add, ‘But you’d better go to Moses (P.B.U.H), a slave whom ALLAH [S.W.T] gave the Torah and to whom HE spoke directly’ They will go to Moses (P.B.U.H) who will reply, ‘I am not fit for this undertaking,’ and mention to them the mistakes he made, and add, ‘You’d better go to Jesus (P.B.U.H), ALLAH [S.W.T]‘s slave and HIS Apostle and HIS Word (Be: And it was) and a soul created by HIM.’ They will go to Jesus (P.B.U.H) who will say, ‘I am not fit for this undertaking, but you’d better go to Muhammad [S.A.W.S] whose sins of the past and the future had been Forgiven (by ALLAH [S.W.T]).’ So they will come to me and I will ask the permission of my LORD, and I will be permitted (to present myself) before HIM. When I see my LORD, I will fall down in (prostration) before HIM and HE will leave me (in prostration) as long as HE wishes, and then it will be said to me, ‘O Muhammad! Raise your head and speak, for you will be Listened to; and ask, for you will be Granted (your request); and intercede, for your intercession will be Accepted.’ I will then raise my head and praise my LORD with certain praises which HE has taught me, and then I will intercede. ALLAH [S.W.T] will allow me to intercede (for a certain kind of people) and will fix a limit whom I will admit into Paradise. I will come back again, and when I see my LORD (again), I will fall down in prostration before HIM, and HE will leave me (in prostration) as long as HE wishes, and then HE will say, ‘O Muhammad! Raise your head and speak, for you will be Listened to; and ask, for you will be Granted (your request); and intercede, for your intercession will be Accepted.’ I will then praise my LORD with certain praises which HE has taught me, and then I will intercede. ALLAH [S.W.T] will allow me to intercede (for a certain kind of people) and will fix a limit to whom I will admit into Paradise, I will return again, and when I see my LORD, I will fall down (in prostration) and HE will leave me (in prostration) as long as HE wishes, and then HE will say, ‘O Muhammad! Raise your head and speak, for you will be Listened to, and ask, for you will be Granted (your request); and intercede, for your intercession will be Accepted.’ I will then praise my LORD with certain praises which HE has taught me, and then I will intercede. ALLAH [S.W.T] will allow me to intercede (for a certain kind of people) and will fix a limit to whom I will admit into Paradise. I will come back and say, ‘O my LORD! None remains in Hell (Fire) but those whom Qur’an has imprisoned therein and for whom eternity in Hell (Fire) has become inevitable.’ “The Prophet [S.A.W.S] added, “There will come out of Hell (Fire) everyone who says: ‘La ilaha illal-lah,’ and has in his heart good equal to the weight of a barley grain. Then there will come out of Hell (Fire) everyone who says: ‘ La ilaha illal-lah,’ and has in his heart good equal to the weight of a wheat grain. Then there will come out of Hell (Fire) everyone who says: ‘La ilaha illal-lah,’ and has in his heart good equal to the weight of an atom (or a smallest ant).”

Sahih Bukhari: Volume 9, Book 93: Oneness, Uniqueness of ALLAH (Tawheed), Number 564:

Narrated Abu Huraira (R.A):

“A man from the Muslims and a man from the Jews quarreled, and the Muslim said, “By HIM Who gave superiority to Muhammad [S.A.W.S] over all the people!” The Jew said, “By HIM WHO gave superiority to Moses (P.B.U.H) over all the people!’ On that the Muslim lifted his hand and slapped the Jew. The Jew went to ALLAH [S.W.T]’s Apostle [S.A.W.S] and informed him of all that had happened between him and the Muslim. The Prophet [S.A.W.S] said, “Do not give me superiority over Moses (P.B.U.H), for the people will fall unconscious on the Day of Resurrection, I will be the first to regain consciousness and behold, Moses (P.B.U.H) will be standing there, holding the side of the Throne. I will not know whether he has been one of those who have fallen unconscious and then regained consciousness before me, or if he has been one of those exempted by ALLAH [S.W.T] (from falling unconscious).”

Sahih Bukhari: Volume 9, Book 93: Oneness, Uniqueness of ALLAH (Tawheed), Number 624:

Narrated Ibn ‘Umar (R.A):

ALLAH [S.W.T]’s Apostle [S.A.W.S] said, “Your stay (in this world) in comparison to the stay of the nations preceding you, is like the period between ‘Asr prayer and the sun set (in comparison to a whole day). The people of the Torah were given the Torah and they acted on it till midday and then they were unable to carry on. And they were given (a reward equal to) one Qirat each. Then the people of the Gospel were given the Gospel and they acted on it till ‘Asr Prayer and then they were unable to carry on, so they were given la reward equal to) one Qirat each. Then you were given the Qur’an and you acted on it till sunset, therefore you were given (a reward equal to) two Qirats each. On that, the people of the Scriptures said, ‘These people (Muslims) did less work than we but they took a bigger reward.’ ALLAH [S.W.T] said (to them). ‘Have I done any oppression to you as regards your rights?’ They said, “No.” Then ALLAH [S.W.T] said, ‘That is MY Blessing which I grant to whomsoever I will.’”

O ALLAH! I seek protection in YOU from that I should not join any partner with YOU and I have knowledge of it. I seek YOUR forgiveness from that which I do not know. I repent from it (ignorance) and I reject disbelief (kufr) and joining partners with YOU (shirk) and of falsehood (kizb) and back-biting (ghibat) and innovation in religion (bidat) and tell-tales (namiimat) and bad, evil deeds (faawahish) and the slandering (buuhtan) and the disobedience (maaasi), all of them. I submit to YOUR will and I believe and I declare: There is none worthy of worship except ALLAH and Muhammad [S.A.W.S] is HIS Messenger.”
